Woah, these camping chairs are cool. Are these cup holders? Get out! 

"Find the rabbit, Juju!" He found it, and then made the floppy ears sign with his hand. 

Relaxing in the playpen after a long drive to Big Sur. 

Daddy reads about the four seasons. "That's a squirrel. That's snow. Snow is cold." Juju shivers, fists clenched.

Baby Steps

Today Julius took his first steps. . . three in a row. . . First he tried this new skill in the morning at the park, then as seen here later that afternoon he tried it again, with a spin! We're so proud. 

That boo-boo is healing up nicely. Anyway, scars build character. 

100 degrees in the shade. Samy has some nice toys, like this drum thing. 

Here's Julius with his babysitter, Kim, and his new friend, Sammy, at Sammy's Mom & Dad's place in Clear Lake. All parents took part in a get-away evening to an open air concert. It was over 100 degrees this afternoon and when the evening lake breeze kicked in, it made everything summer time fresh!

I'm about to leave for a walk with my Dad down to Clear Lake (behind us here in this photo). I tried to lose my 80's style hat in the water, but Dad retrieved it, dried it off, and somehow it's still with us. . . 

Julius opened the cupboard, opened the box, and started to eat his favorite crackers this morning. 

Julius likes to dance on top of the washing machine, moving his hips back and forth and swinging his arms as the machine gyrates. Then, as seen here, when the soapy water comes out he says, "bubbles" which sounds like, "bubsss-bubsss." 

Thanks for setting up the tent in the backyard dad. Happy Father's Day! 

It's time to get the camping gear ready for our summer trips: headlamp, check...stove, check...sunshower, oh yeah!

No time for spoons when it comes to kiwi. This entire kiwi was gone in approximately 20 seconds! 

I'm getting this spoon skill down, just open wide, and most if it goes inside....my folks appreciate the easy clean-up job after meals now too! 

For the first time today, Julius used his spoon to successfully eat most of his breakfast, without help!
