To keep him from disturbing Jamie and Burr's wedding ceremony, Julius took Daddy over to this lovely hillside, which overlooks a part of Tilden Park. Our companion was a precocious eight-year-old who entertained us by rolling down the hill. Julius was not so inspired, wincing when any grass threatened contact with his face.

Monterey

Today, we joined Winnie, Tommy, and their exchange student and potential adopted daughter, Miho, for a trip to Monterey to see the aquarium.

The aquarium has a really great salad bar, featuring exotic toppings from around the globe. 

These little fellows might look friendly, but they eat BMW's whole, and spit out the yuppies. 

You try explaining the "jellyfish" concept to a sixteen-month-old. 

This poor fellow took a wrong turn and ended up being consumed by hungry rockfish right before our very eyes. It was horrifying. 

We got to touch a sea cucumber. When asked if he wanted to touch it again, Julius shook his head no.

Monterey Aquarium = Biiiiig Fish! 

Julius can dip this little fish in the soap bottle and squeeze it to make his own bubbles. Hours of entertainment. 

Fifteen month checkup comes with a shot in each leg. Ouch!

On the way home from SB, we stopped ijn Milipitas to visit with Winnie and Tommy see their new house. Julius was so happy to be out of the carseat he decided to take a walk around the house... through the kitchen, and back around out into the living room. This was his first little solo walking adventure without a hand or toy for support!! YIPEE!
