Cake

We celebrated Momma's birthday one week late. This chocolate cake from Destination Bakery was fantastic! Julius blew out the candle using a rapid sequence of puffs. The next morning, he would march directly to the table and pick up every crumb he could find from the table, as if he had been thinking about the cake all night! 

Point Reyes

Momma and Daddy enjoy a few minutes of peace and quiet before Julius wakes up from his late afternoon nap. (No angry letters please! The camera was on top of the car, and Juju was inside, in plain sight the whole time.) 

We've probably eaten enough oysters now. 

Happy Dee-dee, Momma ... again. 

If Drake's Bay Oyster Farm was on the way home from work, we'd never go home. 

First contact! Salty and lemony brine was OK. But the flesh was rejected.

This little pony was no problem for the little girl with the helmet, but a little intimidating for Juju. We tried to put him in the saddle, but then the pony spooked and bolted backwards, causing Julius to burst into tears. Ever since then, he's been telling the story ... which consists of muttering punctuated by the word "Jump!" 

These boots are made for splashin',
And that's just what they'll do.
One of these days these boots
Are gonna splash all over you.

No matter how you plan it, everybody ends up in the kitchen. 

Riley checks out Julius's vacuum. It's a mean, lean, cleanin' machine.

This baby chihuahua has an intensely friendly attitude for its size.

On the potty, Julius insists on reading a book. Nature or nurture? You decide!
