The best snow arrived the night before and day of our departure. Daddy shoveled the driveway, and we bought some cables for the wheels at Arnold's Auto, at the suggestion of the helpful sheriff of Caleveras County.

This snow park was 20 miles up the road from our cabin. The extra elevation provided extra snow. On the first day, we didn't make it to the main part of the park, content with this little spot near the parking lot.
