We've had quite a lot of rain this week. "The mud sucked my boot off!" His first mud-sucking-boot-off experience.

Snow Days

The best snow arrived the night before and day of our departure. Daddy shoveled the driveway, and we bought some cables for the wheels at Arnold's Auto, at the suggestion of the helpful sheriff of Caleveras County.

Momma got pummeled.

Whoa!

This snow park was 20 miles up the road from our cabin. The extra elevation provided extra snow. On the first day, we didn't make it to the main part of the park, content with this little spot near the parking lot.

The cabin had a collection of vinyl from the 80's, including Journey's "Escape," shown here, rockin' the house.

Julius and Quinan play in the yard beside our cabin. We would get more snow on our departure day.

Julius called these two halves of a metal box "ice skates," and proceeded to slide around on the floor.

With some help, this farm puzzle went right together.
