Julius has been working on a play. It's still a work in progress. Today, it involved a lion, a witch, and a wardrobe. (Hmm, where have I heard that before?) The lion was played by the manatee puppet, while the princess puppet played the part of the witch.

Festival of Sail

There was a display of various cool bugs, and since there were no crowds at all, we could take our time with each one ... a millipede, a beetle, a grasshopper, and an Australian Walking Stick!

Julius played his first computer game, a gift from Grammy. He likes the one where he can build an airplane by clicking on the different parts. He built the planes over and over again, noticing lots of subtle things, like the fact that you can lightly tap on the pad instead of pressing the button to "click." Before tonight, he had moved the cursor around on the screen, but only grossly controlled the direction. Daddy, beaming with pride on this auspicious occasion, only had to guide his finger a few times before he got the hang of it. More photos and movies, including the part where Julius says that it looks like you can grab the propeller, here: http://picasaweb.google.com/jeannette.and.matt/JuliusFirstComputerGame
